PC03/P6 Error Code - DIY - Troubleshooting

2. Verify Service Valves:

   • Ensure that the service valves are opened all the way to the locking ring and are slightly snugged if this is a new installation. This is crucial for fully opening the valves.

3. Check King Valves (for Multi-Zone Units):

   • If your unit is a multi-zone unit (excluding dual zone Gen 4 units), confirm that the king valves on the two vertically running lines on the condenser are opened if this is a new installation. These valves are located just above the normal service line set connections.

4. Inspect the Pressure Switch:

   • Sometimes, the pressure switch may be stuck or open. You can try lightly tapping the pressure switch with the back of a screwdriver to get it unstuck. This can help resolve the issue if the switch is not functioning properly.

5. Check for System Restrictions or Low Charge:

   • The PC03 error can also be caused by restrictions in the system or a low refrigerant charge. If the above steps do not resolve the issue or if the system is an existing installation, have a professional check the pressures in the system to ensure that the unit has the correct pressure levels.
