How to Activate Freeze Protection and Silence Mode on Your MRCOOL Mini-Split (Remote Model R-57A6/BGEFU1)

Your MRCOOL mini-split unit offers both Freeze Protection (FP) and Silence modes to optimize comfort and efficiency. Follow these steps to activate these features using your remote control.

Activating Freeze Protection (FP) Mode:

1. Ensure the Unit is in Heating Mode: Press the "MODE" button on your remote until "HEAT" is displayed.

2. Activate Freeze Protection: Press and hold the "SILENCE" button for more than 2 seconds. The display on the indoor unit will show "FP" indicating the mode is activated, maintaining a steady temperature of 46°F (7.8°C).

3. Cancel FP Mode: To deactivate, press and hold the "SILENCE" button again or use any of the following buttons:

   • ON/OFF
   • SLEEP
   • FP
   • MODE
   • FAN SPEED
   • Temperature control buttons (UP or DOWN).

Activating Silence Mode:

1. Enable Silence Mode: Press the "SILENCE" button once. This reduces the compressor frequency and fan speed, creating a quieter environment with less heating or cooling efficiency.

Both Freeze Protection and Silence modes give you enhanced control over your space’s temperature and noise levels.
