How to Remove an Air Handler from Its Mount

Step 1: Locate and Remove the Retaining Screw(s)

1. In the middle of the air handler, on the front side just below the louvers, you will find a small tab.

2. Flip open this tab from the bottom to reveal a Phillips-head screw inside.

3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, carefully remove this screw.

4. Note: Some units may have two screws, one on the right and one on the left side, so check both sides and remove any additional screws if present.

Step 2: Disengage the Unit from the Mounting Bracket

1. At the bottom of the air handler, near the wall, locate the two small tabs that serve as lifting points.
