Mounting Templates

When installing mini split indoor units, accurate mounting is essential for proper airflow, condensate drainage, and long-term stability. Most systems include templates to assist with precise placement—but there are some differences depending on the product line.

EZPRO and DIY Systems: Templates Included

Both EZPRO and DIY systems come with pre-cut mounting templates in the box. These are:

• Easy to use

• Marked with correct screw hole and piping locations

• Designed to speed up the install and reduce measurement errors

These templates are especially helpful for first-time installers or DIY users, allowing them to visualize placement and prepare wall penetrations accurately.

Advantage and Olympus Series: Use the Backplate as a Template

The Advantage system, designed for professional HVAC installation, does not come with a separate paper or cardboard template. However, the metal back mounting plate on the indoor unit can be removed and used as a guide.

To do this:

1. Remove the back metal plate from the indoor unit (it’s designed for easy detachment).

2. Hold it against the wall where the unit will be mounted.

3. Mark the screw holes and piping path directly from the plate.

4. Reinstall the plate and mount the indoor unit as usual.

This method assumes that the installer is comfortable with HVAC tools and procedures, which is appropriate for a tech-installed system like the Advantage series.
