đź”§ How to Replace the Fan Motor in a DIY Mini-Split
1. Turn Off Power

Shut off power to the unit at the breaker box.

Double-check there’s no electricity running to the system (use a voltmeter if possible).
2. Remove the Front Cover

Open or remove the front panel of the air handler.

Some models may have clips, screws, or a combination of both.
3. Remove the Blower Assembly

Carefully remove any filters or panels blocking access to the blower area.

You’ll likely need to unscrew the blower housing or support brackets.
4. Disconnect the Fan Motor Wires

Find where the fan motor wiring connects to the control board.

Label or take a picture of the wire connections so you know how to reconnect them later.

Unplug the motor from the board.
5. Remove the Blower Wheel and Motor

Loosen the set screw on the blower wheel (this holds it to the motor shaft).

Slide out the blower wheel and motor assembly together.
6. Swap the Motor
