To ensure optimal airflow, safety, and proper performance, MRCOOL DIY® 4th Gen Ceiling Cassette systems must be installed with specific clearance requirements. These guidelines are crucial for maintaining warranty eligibility and system efficiency.

Required Clearances

From Walls:

• Faceplate to Wall: Minimum 7.9 inches (200 mm)

• Sides of Unit to Wall: Minimum 19.7 inches (500 mm) on both sides

From Floor to Ceiling:

• Minimum Ceiling Height: 7.6 feet (2.5 meters)

Ceiling Construction:

• Ceiling Thickness: Must not exceed 0.625 inches (16 mm)

• Ceiling Joist Spacing: Must be 16 inches (404.4 mm) on center

Cutout Dimensions:

• Ceiling Hole Width: 16.9 inches (430 mm)

• Ceiling Hole Length: 51.2 inches (1300 mm)
