What to Do if Your Lineset Caps Are Missing

If you notice that the blue or white caps on your MRCOOL linesets are missing, don’t worry! These caps are simply dust covers designed to protect the lines from debris during storage and transport. Their absence doesn’t indicate a refrigerant leak or any issue with your lineset.

Why Are the Caps Important?
The caps protect the lines during storage. However, the refrigerant remains secure due to internal valves in the lines. Missing caps won’t affect the refrigerant charge.

Steps to Take:

1. Inspect the Lines: Ensure no debris has entered the lines.
2. Clean if Necessary: If you notice any dirt or foreign particles, gently clean the ends before installation.
3. Proceed with Installation: Once the lines are clear, you can continue with the installation process as normal.
