If you're experiencing issues with the louver on your MRCOOL unit, follow these simple steps to reset it:

For some models: Press and hold both the Mode and Swing buttons on the remote at the same time. This should reset the louver to its original position.

If the above doesn't work: Turn the indoor air handler off using the remote to allow the louver to close completely.

Power the unit back on: Turn the unit back on using the remote, and check if the louver resets correctly.

If the issue persists: Turn off the unit completely and switch off the outdoor unit at the breaker. Wait for about 15 minutes before turning the breaker back on.

Power the unit back on: After 15 minutes, power the unit back on using the remote.

Turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 minutes soled my problem where the louver door was not shutting all the way when unit was powered off.
